Lang geleden toen de vrijheid van de mens werd ontnomen door de boze vleermuiskoning kon niemand meer zijn huis verlaten. Behalve zij die hun geest verrijkt hadden en boven hun lichaam uit zweefden: de vrije geesten. Om de onderdrukking van de boze vleermuiskoning te ontkomen dronken zij de gouden bes, een drankje dat de vrijheid vergrootte en de kwade geesten van de boze vleermuiskoning verjaagde. Hierdoor konden zei alles uithalen wat ze maar wilden zonder zich zorgen te maken door met elkaar lekker geestig te zijn. Samen vormden zij Libera Mentis, de vrije geesten.
